Arnold H. Abrons
Arnold was born and raised in Norfolk. He received a Bachelor of Law/Juris Doctor in 1969 from the University of Virginia and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1969, as well as to the Supreme Court of Virginia. In 1972 he was admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and in 1977 was admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
His areas of practice are civil litigation, family law, wills and estates, and education. He has regularly defended local educators in dismissal and other actions since the 1970’s. He is a participating attorney in the following legal plans: AARP, Hyatt Legal, Signature Legal Care and the Virginia Education Association (VEA).
Arnold is a member of the Norfolk Portsmouth Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar and participates in Virginia Continuing Legal Education (CLE) training programs.
Arnold served as a captain in the U.S. Army and received a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. He resides in Virginia Beach and has two sons, both of whom reside and work in Chicago, IL.
